Browse all toursWhat to know about Kumluca
Kumluca runs largely on covered agriculture; the greenhouses on its plain supply a significant share of Turkey's winter vegetables.
Its tourist draw is Adrasan: a bay squeezed between mountains with a long pebble beach. Stages of the Lycian Way towards Olympos and the Gelidonya lighthouse pass through, making it a base for walkers.
The district also holds Rhodiapolis, best known for Opramoas, a benefactor who funded cities across the Mediterranean of his day; his monumental tomb still stands.
When to go
The sea is warm from June to October. Lycian Way walking needs March-May or October-November; in summer the shadeless stages get dangerously hot. Greenhouse harvest runs all winter.
Getting there
Antalya Airport (AYT) is 95 km east, about 1.5 hours. Adrasan lies 20 km from the town centre down a narrow road off the coastal highway. Kemer is 45 km away, Finike 25 km.

Frequently asked questions
Adrasan or Olympos?+
They are neighbouring bays: Adrasan is calmer and family-oriented, Olympos draws younger travellers with its treehouse pensions. Thirty minutes apart by boat, about 25 km by road.
Is the Gelidonya walk hard?+
Moderate to hard: stony path with climbs, five to six hours return. Water, a hat and closed shoes are essential, and midday summer starts should be avoided.
